Board Recruitment - LMS-Patriot Company

The LMS-Patriot Company is seeking new individuals for the Board of Trustees for the Charity. A new Chairman and Sales Director are being sought. 

New Chairman Sought

• Do you have excellent organisational and leadership skills?
• Do you have experience of Heritage Rail and/or Main Line sectors?
• Are you a good team leader?
• Are you a good listener?

If you have answered ‘Yes’ to these questions, then you may want to consider becoming the next Chairman of the LMS-Patriot Company. This is a voluntary role that will see new build ‘Patriot’ No. 5551 'The Unknown Warrior' through to its completion as a working steam locomotive.

As Chairman, you will be involved in the chairing of quarterly Board meetings in Stafford as well as annual attendance at our AGM and Members’ Day, plus other administrative work.

New Sales Director Sought

Due to current Sales Director, Roger Bateman standing down later this year, a vacancy has arisen for a new Sales Director.

• Do you have excellent organisational skills?
• Do you have experience of sales in some capacity and an interest in the Heritage Rail and/or Main Line sector?
• Are you a people person?

If you have answered ‘Yes’ to these questions, then you may want to consider  becoming the next Sales Director of the LMS-Patriot Company. This is a voluntary role that will assist our fundraising for the new build ‘Patriot’ No. 5551 'The Unknown Warrior', through to its completion as a working steam locomotive.

As Sales Director, you will be involved in the events organisation, leading and joining a team of volunteers who man the sales stands, maintaining stock lines and pricing not only bought in stock, but to include responsibility for donated stock and commission sales items.

You will be required to attend Board meetings in Stafford four times per year as well as annual attendance at our AGM and Members’ Day, plus other administrative work. The admin office and warehouse facilities are based in Stafford but events are nationwide. Valid expenses are payable (mileage at government rates).
