The Warrior Magazine

We expect to despatch The Warrior Issue 55 to you on Monday 5^th  December. The magazine contains a full account of the proceedings of our Annual General Meeting, which was held on 12^th November at Kidderminster Railway Museum.

Engineering

I will not repeat here the general engineering progress reported in The Warrior. However, since the Warrior went to press the repair work on the outside cylinders has now been completed, and all quality documentation required has been supplied, by Cast Iron Welding Services.

Finance 

As the festive season is just around the corner please use one or both of the following for your online shopping as the donations from these sources help supplement the paltry interest we have received in the last two years or so from our bank:

easyfundraising - £53.67 received last quarter, Plus, for a limited time, for every new supporter who raises £10, they'll double it!

Amazon -  the quarterly donation is due from Amazon Smile. The total donations from this source up to August ’22 was £213.15.

Now that interest rates for savings/deposits are starting to rise, the gap between the best and the worst widens. Our Finance Sub-committee are reviewing the market rates, aiming to get the best rate(s) available for our surplus funds whilst responsibly taking into account protection afforded by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
